Enemed Company Ltd was established on 1st September 2014 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the state owned Petromal Company Ltd. The company is certified ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2023 and is responsible for the importation, distribution and wholesale of petroleum products for the inland market including the aviation sector. It also offers its storage facilities to third parties. Enemed is a major player in the Maltese market.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of the Tradesperson (Mechanical) is to carry out the reactive and preventive maintenance of all the mechanical equipment. This is to include total overhauls and refurbishment of the equipment including pumps of all types and for all purposes, pipelines, valves, fire-fighting equipment and ancillaries, compressors, and other associated mechanical equipment and tank fittings such as, vent valves, swing arms and floating suctions.
Must have knowledge and awareness of safety of mechanical equipment in hazardous atmospheres.
Attends any courses that the management deems necessary even in after­ office hours.
DUTIES &amp; RESPONSABILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Carries out the setting up, preventive maintenance and overhauls of plant and equipment including but not limited to pumps, valves, strainers and filters.</li>
<li>Ensures that maintenance work is carried out in a safe manner and in strict compliance with written down procedures and / or industry standards.</li>
<li>Ensures that mechanical maintenance is carried out in compliance with industry standards, written down procedures and schedules and to keep records of such maintenance. Assist the Team Leader in the preparation of maintenance procedures and schedules where these are lacking.</li>
<li>Identifies and estimates the equipment and materials required for each specific job.</li>
<li>Keeps the team leader updated with any parts that need to be procured.</li>
<li>Assists in the compilation and constant improvement of standard procedures.</li>
<li>Participates in regular toolbox meetings with mechanical team and their counterparts from other departments.</li>
<li>To perform other related duties as assigned by Management related to the job description.</li>
</ul>
QUALIFICATIONS &amp; WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO MEET POSITION OBJECTIVES:
Be in possession of:
<ul>
<li>City and Guilds certificates at MQF Level 4, or MCAST certificates at MQF Level 4 in Operations and Maintenance or Manufacturing with 2 years’ experience in a mechanical workshop. The student training period is also considered valid for this requirement.</li>
<li>OR Certificates at MQF Level 3 in the same areas mentioned above with 10 years of experience working within the sector.</li>
<li>To acquire a first-aider certificate during the first three months of the engagement.</li>
<li>Awareness of Occupational Health &amp; Safety and Security.</li>
</ul>
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of typical electrical terms.</li>
</ul>
PERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
<ul>
<li>Promotes Teamwork.</li>
<li>Must be able to take decisions on the spot.</li>
<li>Must be in possession of a valid driving license.</li>
</ul>
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Must be in good enough general health to carry out his duties under pressing needs and a demanding environment.</li>
<li>Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights.</li>
